     Doris "Chari" Seaton Edwards

     Chari Edwards passed away at the age of 81, to her Heavenly home, on January 18, 2017 in McCall, Idaho.  Chari was born in Seattle, Washington on November 29, 1935 to Earnest and Neva E. (Seaton) Jones.  She married John T. Edwards, who was serving in the U.S. Air Force, on September 6, 1953.  They have three daughters, Becky Jones, Cindy Stewart and Christy Edwards.
     Chari managed the Elko, Nevada Chamber of Commerce before she and John moved to Cascade in 1981.  During the past 28 years they spent winters in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
     She and John's love of nature and gratitude for God's creation opened the world up to their family providing priceless adventures; and instilling a deep value for wild nature.
     Chari thrived on challenges; fearlessly and brilliantly solving any that came her way.  Electrical, computer or mechanical, nothing intimidated her.
     Our family could not be more grateful for the genuine, tender, attentive and skillful care Chari received from the staff of the McCall Rehabilitation and Care Center.  She and John were also beautifully supported by their Lutheran family and local friends who were at their side through so many difficult moments.
     Chari was surrounded by and supported by a tremendously loving husband and daughters.  She is blessed with a strong Christian faith that has kept her heart happy, joyful, and certain throughout her life.
     Place of celebration, officiated by Pastor Robin Dugall, will be at the Shepherd of the Mountains Lutheran Church, 212 Main Street, Cascade, Idaho  83611 (next to Grandma's Cafe) on Saturday, January 28th, 2017 at 1:30 p.m.
     In lieu of flowers, donations to the McCall Rehabilitation and Care Center, 418 Floyde St., McCall, ID  83638, in Chari Edwards' name, would be gratefully appreciated.
