Going back in time, decades ago, Gail taught me how to survey Forest Service roads.

Gail was always a gentleman and it was a pleasure to be with him. He was a good ambassador for the Forest Service where he served for 45 seasons and a wonderful influence on all the children he taught. He was always up to the challenge of any task required of him over a broad spectrum of duties, whether it be engineering, recreation or fire. He was highly respected by all who knew him. We send our condolences to his family and pray for comfort and strength.

Gail was both a great employee and a very good friend. I enjoyed working with him tremendously, and I learned a lot from him. My sympathies to the family.
