Neoma C. (Dunn) Carlock

Neoma C. Carlock, 84, lifelong resident of New Meadows died Friday, February 17, 2017 in Idaho Falls at the Parkwood Meadows Assisted Living facility. Graveside services will be held at the Meadows Valley Cemetery later this Spring.

Neoma was born November 13, 1932 in Skiatook, Oklahoma, the daughter of Ada and Edgar Dunn.
She married Donald Glen Carlock on April 5, 1952 in Council.

Neoma had enjoyed tole painting, golfing and at one time was an active member of the Rebekah's as well as the PTA. She retired from the New Meadows School District. Neoma loved her grandchildren dearly and when they were younger she enjoyed time spent with them picking huckleberries. Another family favorite was her frying potatoes for them over an open fire at nearby campgrounds while they fished with their grandpa.

Surviving is her only child, daughter Loveta Reed and husband Wayne of Florida, three granddaughters, Rebecca West and Stephanie Williams (Garett) both of New Mexico and Stacie Billington of Texas, three great-grandchildren (Sophia, Carter and Zachary), a step-son Don Carlock (Darlene) of Kuna, step-daughter Connie Stenquist of California; a sister, Rosellen Bloom of Oregon and a sister-in-law, Peggy Riggers (Don) of Washington.

She was preceded in death by her husband Glen in 2010; both parents; a sister, Marie Hass; and brothers, Albert, David, Clifford and Clarence Dunn.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the research of dementia.
