Miss Tessie, as she was known to me, was one of the sweetest, welcoming ladies ever!
I moved to her valley, 18 years ago, from the East Coast. As soon as we met, even though I was a "foreigner" she was very warm, full of chuckles and gave me a wonderful jar of her ranch honey. We had a loose howdy-do, wave as you go by, relationship. It always made my heart glad to see her tending to her beloved flower. The lady was an New Meadows icon, a beacon of goodness in my book. I will miss her. God bless you Miss Tessie, you are loved.

Although I saw Tessie only occasionally, she was invariably kind, attentive, and pleasant and thoughtful in conversation. I grew to appreciate her steady commitment to fulfilling her responsibilities, of which I'm sure I saw only a small part but, which I could tell was characteristic of her. I am grateful to have known her. I extend my sympathy to the family on the loss of such a delightful person as Tessie was.
