Ralph Dennis King

Ralph Dennis King, 65, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017 peacefully at home, in McCall, Idaho.  Ralph was born to Nelson Rueben King and Anna Laura (Pederson) King in Jerome, Idaho March 30, 1952.  Ralph was the youngest of four boys.  

Ralph was raised in Wendell, Idaho on a dairy farm and excelled in football, basketball, track, at his local high school. He earned an athletic scholarship to Boise State University and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education in 1979.  He later went on to earn his Master’s degree in School Administration from the University of Idaho.  

Ralph married Sandra Rumsey in the Wendell LDS chapel, January 6, 1978 and they were later sealed in the Boise Idaho Temple in 1986.  They enjoyed 38 years of marriage, four children, and 8 grandchildren together.  Ralph began his teaching career in Wendell, Idaho in 1982 then moved his family to McCall, Idaho where we worked as a teacher and administrator from 1985-2015. Ralph enjoyed coaching multiple sports and genuinely cared for his students.  He actively served in his local church congregation and will be missed by many.   

Ralph is survived by his son Kyle King (Lindsey) of McCall, Idaho; daughter Lindsay Storrs (Brian) of Cedar Hills, Utah; daughter Amy Guynn (Jonathan) of Irvine, California; son Tyler King (Brandee) of Castleford, Idaho along with 8 grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the LDS Chapel located at 400 Elo Road, McCall, Idaho, with a viewing from 9 - 9:45 a.m.  Burial and grave dedication will be held at the Wendell Cemetery, Wendell, Idaho at 5:00 p.m. following the services in McCall.
