Emma Nell Davis

Emma Nell Davis, 98, of Lake Fork, Idaho passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Ontario, Oregon November 24, 2025, with family at her side.

A beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great- great grandmother.

Born March 3, 1927, in Berger, Twin Falls County, Idaho at her grandmother’s home. Emma spent much of her young life in the mining camps of Idaho and Nevada, where she developed a deep appreciation of hard work and simple pleasures.

During World War II she was a candy striper in Spokane, Washington. Offering comfort to those she cared for before and after school.

She married Leon Scott Davis January 22,1946 in Winnemucca, Nevada, together they raised 5 daughters in McCall, Idaho.

Emma will be remembered for her ever-present smile, warm heart, her wonderful sense of humor, always laughing and singing a happy tune. She brought kindness and joy to all those who were fortunate to know her.

She was a lifetime member of the VFW.

Emma is survived by her five daughters, Carlynda (Jim) McNevin, Kay Jones, Elaine Merritt, Janet Sanford and Betty (Jim) Moore, nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren, and two sisters.

Emma is preceded in death by her husband Leon, two sons-in-law, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one sister, and two stepbrothers.

Private family service will be held at Spink Cemetery, Lake Fork, Idaho.
