Holding tight to one another and years full of memories, we share the news of the unexpected passing of Hayley Jo Rambur (33) on August 5, 2026, in Donnelly, ID. Like the lavender and lupine she loved in the mountains around her, Hayley’s time with us was so much shorter than it ought to have been, but the corners of the world she touched will be impacted forever.
Hayley was born in Spokane, WA, on October 8, 1992, but spent most of her childhood in Moscow, ID. She was a force to be reckoned with on the soccer field as the starting varsity goalkeeper all four years at Moscow High and graduated in 2011.
At Walla Walla Community College, Hayley was a member of the championship-winning soccer team. While there, she caught the eye of her forever person—Ryan. They followed each other to the University of Idaho, where she earned degrees in Education and Geology, and, with a Christmas tree shimmering behind them, Ryan celebrated his graduation by asking her to be his wife. They were married in May of 2019. Hayley and Ryan spent 14 years together exploring lakes and rivers, camping in the mountains, and adventuring with their two precious boys, Jackson and Carter, and often her beloved younger brother, Trevor.
A natural-born leader, Hayley quickly became a significant presence in their community in Donnelly, ID, serving as President of the Donnelly Chamber of Commerce, helping organize one of Donnelly’s most beloved events, the Huckleberry Festival. In her career, Hayley served as President of the Women’s Mining Coalition. Always compassionate, Hayley saw needs in the science education and business worlds she navigated and decided to do what she did best—bring people together with her intelligence and creativity—by opening Lupine Associates in 2024.
Hayley is survived by her husband Ryan and sons, Jackson and Carter, her mother Rebecca Huffman, father Casey (Danielle) Couture, step-father Patrick Griswold, in-laws Tim Rambur and Elisa (Mark) Coito, siblings Trevor Griswold, Tessa, Delaine, Mackenzie, Linzie, Ryley, and Levi Couture, siblings-in-law Kiera (Kyle) Walker, and Jamie Rambur, grandmother Barbara Couture, and grandfather David Huffman as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and a host of loving friends. She is preceded in death by Wayne Couture (grandfather), April Huffman (grandmother), and Richard Griswold (grandfather).
For the family, the friends, the community, and unfinished initiatives she leaves behind, we grieve together, but for the person that she was—the joy she radiated in every room, the passion she had for her community, and the deep love she had for others, we celebrate her life and memory.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Riverside Pines in Cascade, ID, at 1:00 pm, followed by an Open House from 2:00-5:00 pm.
