Karl Ray Tomlinson

Karl Ray Tomlinson, age 64, of Cascade, Idaho passed away on August 10th, 2025. Karl was born on July 25, 1961 in Rigby, Idaho. His parents were Karl and Daris Tomlinson.

He was raised in Monteview, Idaho alongside his five siblings: Becky, Lynn, Ike, Debbie, and Angi. He graduated from West Jefferson High School. Karl married his best friend and love of his life, Lisa. They enjoyed being married for 46 years. Karl always said, “I couldn’t ask for a better companion and best friend”. During their marriage, they had two children, John and Kelly. Karl worked very hard throughout the years to provide for his family. He has held many different jobs throughout his life, but mostly farmed, worked for propane companies, and city entities. Many in Valley County knew Karl from his work at the City of Cascade for the past 18 years.

Karl had many interests throughout his life, but most of all, he loved camping and being surrounded by his family and friends. He enjoyed playing horseshoes, riding his four-wheeler, and singing music.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Cascade School Gymnasium on August 23, 2025 to celebrate his life. Private burial will follow in Margaret Cemetery.

Karl is preceded in death by his father and mother, Karl and Daris Tomlinson, his paternal grandparents, John and Gena Tomlinson, maternal grandparents, Leland and Lottie Christensen, father-in-law, Alfred Anderson, brother-in-law, Peter Anderson, two nephews, and one niece. He is survived by his wife, Lisa; his son John (Antonette), his daughter Kelly (Tyson), and four grandchildren Cecila, Timbre, Kiley and Lexi, and great grandchild, Bailey.
