Teresa Kaye Vanderpool

October 13, 1959 – September 14, 2026

Teresa Kaye Vanderpool passed away peacefully at home in Pennsylvania on September 14, 2026. She was born on October 13, 1959, in McCall, Idaho, to Jessie and Geneva Vanderpool.

Teresa grew up in Riggins, Idaho, surrounded by family, friends, and the small-town adventures that became some of her fondest memories. After high school, she moved to New York to pursue her studies and worked as a nanny for a young boy named Alex, a chapter of her life she always remembered fondly.

For the last 12 years of Teresa’s life, she lived with her daughter, Chantelle, who lovingly cared for her as her health declined. Teresa was deeply grateful for Chantelle’s love and devotion. Those years also gave Teresa the special opportunity to help care for and raise her grandchildren, Kannon and Kapri. Being part of their everyday lives brought her great joy, and it was something she took tremendous pride in.

Teresa is survived by her children: Dylan (Tiffany) Vanderpool and their children, Jaxson, Logan, and Hallie of American Falls, ID; Chantelle Webb and her children, Kannon and Kapri of Harrisburg, PA; Chad (Felicia) Fogerson and their son, Leon, of Pocatello, ID; and Keyan (Devonn) Vanderpool and their son, Deidrick of American Falls, ID. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Teresa was preceded in death by her grandparents, Roy and Leila Hall and grandmother, Vernie Adamson; her parents, Jessie and Geneva Vanderpool; her brother, Arlen; her beloved dogs, Tuck and Luck; and several other extended family members and friends who passed before her.

Teresa’s life took her many places and through many chapters, but the people she loved remained at the heart of her story. Her family is thankful that she is now at peace and free from the health struggles she faced for so many years.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those wishing to honor Teresa’s memory consider making a donation to a favorite pet rescue or domestic violence organization, two causes that held special meaning for her.

A public graveside service will be held at the Riggins Cemetery in Riggins, Idaho, on Monday, September 21, 2026 at 11:00 AM.
