Thomas Edward Carlson, cherished husband and devoted father, passed into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at home. He was attended by his beloved wife, Patricia Carlson, his devoted sister, Jessie Stopsen, and his loyal dog, Ruby.

Tom was born on March 5, 1947, to Edward “Red” Carlson, and Dorothy Mae (Harbour) Puckett. He was the eldest of five children. Tom was born in Richland, WA. He also attended primary school in Richland, WA. He graduated from Edmunds High School. Tom believed in Jesus, hard work, and education. He completed his degree in Theology from Corban University in 1969.

Tom was known by all for his generosity, gentleness, intelligence, love of travel, business acumen, and unpretentious manner. His quick smile, beautiful singing voice, and fabulous hair were unforgettable. He was a true gentleman.

Tom is survived by his devoted and adored wife, Pat Carlson, of the family home. He also leaves five children: Kristin (Carlos) Domingez, Tommy (Raquel) Carlson, Trisha (Briklyn) Wuich, Erica (Peter) Antioco, and Jennifer Barclay, as well as nine grandchildren and myriads of nieces, nephews, siblings, cousins, and others whose lives he enriched. He was loved as a husband, father, brother, uncle, ringleader, mentor, and friend.

Erma Bombeck once said: When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have one single bit of talent left and I could say “I used everything You gave me.”

Celebration of Tom’s life to be held Friday, March 27th, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Elk Creek Church, 14102 ID-55, McCall, ID 83638. Lunch reception immediately following.
