Debra Rambo Obituary

Debra Renee Schroeder Rambo passed away on the 9th of May 2021 in her home in Smith’s Ferry, Idaho.  She was born in Twin Falls, Idaho on February 28, 1958 to Myrl and Marcella (Holtzen) Schroeder.  She lived in Filer, Idaho and attended Clover Lutheran School until the family moved to Meridian, Idaho when she was 10 years old.  She enjoyed playing tennis, waterskiing, snowmobiling among many other activities with her family.  She graduated from Meridian High School in 1976 and in November of 1976, she married Craig Rambo.  Debra and Craig welcomed two children into the world: Amanda and Nick.  Debra loved helping people in an assortment of ways.  She used her skills and talents in her professional capacity as a realtor, mortgage lender/originator, a caterer, and later helping people live their best lives with health and wellness coaching.  In her personal time, she enjoyed gardening, hosting meals, playing cards, spending time with friends and family, and playing a special dice game called Farkle.

Debra had the biggest heart and thrived on taking care of others.  She was the first person to show up to help a friend or family member with a project and the last one to leave.  She selflessly cared for loved ones without prompting.  She showed love to everyone around with her talent of being able to whip up the most delicious meal with any ingredients she had on hand.  She loved her children, grandchildren, and family with her entire being.  With her faith as a guide, she taught us all to be strong and survive whatever obstacles life may bring.

Debra was preceded in death by her parents.  Debra is survived by her children and grandchildren:  Amanda and Wes Hendrix (daughters Calyse and Trislyn) and Nick and Jackie Rambo (children Rylynn and Bryson).  She is also survived by her brothers Jeff (Carol) Schroeder and Val Dean (Kiere) Schroeder, and sister Terri (Greg) Goins.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who lovingly called her “Aunt B”.

Debra will be missed dearly as she was taken from us suddenly.   We all take solace in knowing she’s at peace and welcomed into her heavenly home looking over us.
