LeMoyne "Butch" Lewis Titus

LeMoyne “Butch” Lewis Titus, 82, of Cascade, Idaho passed away peacefully at home on April 25, 2022.

He was born Dec. 25, 1939 in Nampa, Idaho to Cedric & Retta Titus.

For a time, he lived in Marsing, Idaho where he attended Edison School. As a teen he lived several years with George & Leora Chadwick (foster parents) on their Ranch at Muddy Creek in Oregon.

He then moved to Texas and worked on ranches. There his daughter and son were born. Missing Idaho, he moved back and settled in Cascade where he worked for Bob Bate Ford and then for the Boise Cascade Sawmill until they closed down.

He married Theda Reed (known to her family and friends by the nickname of “Chuck”) in 1979 and added her 5 kids for a blended family.

Some of Butch’s fondest memories included adventures camping, fishing, Oregon Coast trips, snowmobiling and attending rodeos (the PBR was his favorite).

Butch had a love of horses and loved to ride. He also collected bronze horses and belt buckles.

He always loved the kids to visit and to spoil the grandkids and great grandkids. So many fun times and memories were made with them. Loves!

Butch is preceded in death by his son, Rowdy, daughter, Lonnette, his parents, Cedric Titus and Retta Cook, sister, Shannon Peterson, stepsons, Wyatt and Richey Reed, and foster parents, George and Leora Chadwick.

He is survived by his wife, Theda “Chuck”, stepchildren, Sue and Barry Griffin (Boise), Tina and Robbie (Boise), Rochelle and Bart Whiting (Boise) and Da Lana Reeves (Texas), sister, Connie Love (Calif), as well as many grandkids and great-grandkids.

Butch’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 1 p.m. at the American Legion in Cascade, Idaho.

Services under direction of McCall Funeral Home with burial at Margaret Cemetery.
